Yantis Land is the lead investor on many developments where finished lots are typically sold to production homebuilders. The company has relationships with all of the major builders that do business in San Antonio and Austin. In addition to managing Yantis developments, the firm also serves as a development manager for other investment groups or homebuilders.

Meet Mike Yantis

Mike Yantis founded Yantis Land in 2020 after 22 years as the managing partner and President/CEO of San Antonio based Yantis Company. The company was founded in 1965 by John Yantis (Mike’s grandfather) and performed turnkey civil construction across south Texas. Yantis Company was especially known for being the general contractor for new residential communities for developers and builders such as DR Horton Homes, Lennar Homes, Pulte Group, among many others.
Continuing a proud legacy left by his grandfather, Mike managed almost $2 billion dollars of subdivision developments, commercial developments, and public infrastructure such as the latest runway extension at San Antonio International Airport. Mike grew Yantis Company from a $30 million dollar per year contractor to a 600 person firm that completed over $130 million dollars of projects annually. Mike’s management grew company’s annual profits by 700%.

Mike launched Yantis Land in 2020 because of his desire to work on the development side of the industry. Since the company was founded, Yantis has worked with many of the region’s top builders while offering strategic consulting to investors, landowners and other clients. Mike has been involved in many other organizations over the years. In 2015, Mike served as the Chairman of the Valero Alamo Bowl where he pursued an expansion of the scholarship program the bowl donates back to Bexar County future college students. Mike was recognized in 2007 as one of San Antonio’s 40 under 40. In 2015, the Texas A&M Association of Former Students recognized Mike as one of the 12 under 12 award recipients. The Texas A&M Mays Business School has recognized Mike Yantis 4 times with the Aggie 100 award.
